Goodbye Svelte, Hello Hugo.

Despite your efforts, sometimes you feel demotivated when you don’t see results. What can you do to achieve it?” pubDate: “Jul 08 2022” heroImage: “/blog-placeholder-3.jpg”
I know that for many this goodbye will be somewhat strange, but I have gone through most of the JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including Svelte, all of 2020 I dedicated myself to evangelizing it, speaking highly of its advantages and how to make the most of it, creating videos, giving talks in the community, creating three courses in Platzi and having several projects in production with Svelte.
Goodbye Svelte…
It is not the goodbye that everyone believes, I have simply said goodbye as the technology I used for this blog “gndx.dev” I have made the decision to migrate to another platform in order to learn. The decision was also accompanied by the announcement to deprecate “Sapper” who together with Svelte managed to create surprising static sites and yes, my blog gndx.dev was created with this technology at the time.
I liked what I learned, I liked creating the blog and integrating my tools, learning to create each necessary piece and managing to display it along with a series of important articles and sections on this site. But now it takes a different meaning and we are going to focus it on creating better content, focus it on my live content and a series of projects that I have in mind, I needed to have a stable site that would allow me to focus on writing and friendly sharing the content created.
Hello, Hugo!
As one of my personal goals for this year 2021, is to learn a new programming language, which allows me to continue growing as a professional and improve my skills as a developer. During 2020, I focused on learning, practicing and creating projects with Python, I feel comfortable and I know that I can start a project or lines of code with this programming language.
There were two big ones in my sights, Rust or Go. The decision was easy because in part I needed to find a way to migrate my blog to a stable platform and it came together with the need for learning, when I found the project gohugo.io which is a framework for creating static websites, using the JAMStack architecture and written in GO.
A matter of researching, testing and throwing myself into the ring with this technology that will allow me to learn GO (Playing more with the Framework), create my blog and continue to meet two of my main goals this year, Learn a new programming language and write more.
