You’re about to build a portfolio and you’re out of inspiration. Don’t worry, here we will show you how to take advantage of various tools and resources to effectively bring your first project to life.

Where to Find Inspiration?

My first recommendation is to visit dribble.com, a platform rich in inspiration. In its inspiration section, you will find a wide collection of projects created by professionals from various areas. Here, you can explore ideas and concepts that will drive your project, whether it is a portfolio, an idea, or any creation.

Why is Dribbble.com Ideal?

Dribbble.com offers much more than just inspiration. Plus, it gives you access to color palettes, allowing you to find the perfect combination for your project. Whether in design, shapes, elements or colors, this platform is a treasure trove of ideas.

How to Use Dribbble?

Using Dribbble is simple. You just have to visit the inspiration section and explore different elements through its search engine. You can find related elements, such as home pages and entire websites, to identify the project you want to build or get inspiration from.

Are you looking for Projects with Code?

If you are looking for a project ready to modify and take to production, I recommend exploring repositories with more than 100 open source projects. This means that you can use, customize and adapt them according to your needs. Some of these projects even come with demonstration and the technologies used.

What to do with the projects?

Don’t worry about building everything from scratch. Simply choose the project you like the most, copy it and adjust it according to your requirements. Don’t forget to give credits to the original author. Take your time to analyze them and find the one that best suits you.

More Resources?

In closing, here are two additional projects, created by me, that you could use and enjoy.

1. Free Linkree

If you want to have a page that groups your links, social networks and is your entry point for your social networks, I offer you an adaptation of Linkree. This project is based on HTML and CSS, making it easy to edit and customize.

2. Minimalist Design Blog

If you are looking for a more robust website with features like minimalist design, RSS support, and a focus on working with Markdown, PWA, among other features. This is the same template that I use on this blog and you can clone it and adapt it according to your needs.
